OH MY CRAFTS TOUR BUS

Monday the O My Crafts tour bus came to Birmingham. They had 3 classes.

In the AM we did a multi media book using acetate, felt, paint, rub ons, full pages, half pages, and made fun flowers out of free hand cut circles stapled together. I fell in love with a new GOT TO HAVE tool. It's an electric Zutter distresser.

The Sir Stamps a Lot stampers there in the AM were; Janet (Splash was on the floor) Shari, Sandy, Andrea and me. The after noon class we were joined by Jean , Paula and Cassandra.

We made a box and tags with flowers and tulle. It was a disappointing turnout but those of us who went really enjoyed it.

DOG STORY

Yesterday Libby and I were headed to her house after a massage at Massage Envy. I had a dog crate in my car to return to Libby's house. Two ladies flagged us down and wanted to know if we knew these two Really dirty old dogs.. The ladies were afraid they would get hit by a car. They had no collars and came to us when called.. Libby says "We have a crate we'll take them with us. "

We went to Libby's and Sam, Katie and Sarah gave the dogs a bath. Keith was on duty so Katie and I took the dogs to his station. They were really good dogs. Seemed to be best buddies. We never heard a bark, cry or whimper from them.
The Boston terrier seemed to have problems with his back legs. The little fuzzy one was very active but both were missing teeth. The Firemen took care of them and in the morning they had animal control take them to the pound. I hope they well be ok....

MOTHER'S DAY

Libby gave me a antique pearl and diamond ring for mother's day. Sam and Sarah Claire went to Sunday School and Keith, Lib, Katie and I went to church. The music was beaautiful and it was child dedication day and all the familys with new babys were introduced to the congregation. After church Lib, Katie and I went to downtown Birmingham to a buffet at an Indian Restaurant. Then we went shoe shopping. Was a great Mother's day. Kathy called from Washington (they are on vacation). and we are going to do something special when I go out to Denver in June....

BIRDHOUSE, CARDS, QUILT PIECE

Love my purple bird house. It has three hooks for keys.

Classes on Sat. We made Joy Fold Cards. I got carried away and increased the folds down to an Inchie.

The other class was for positive and negative images. We all had a good time.

The last is a piece for a friendship quilt that my friend Marge is making in Tucson. She sent to her friends blank pieces of muslin and we were to decotate it and send it back. She will work it into a Friendship Quilt. I used fabric pens on mine. I hope they don't run. I checked it out and seems to be ok...
